With the increasing global attention to climate change, carbon dioxide capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) technology has become one of the key paths to achieve low-carbon development. The Russian government has clearly planned to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060, and in 2021 passed the "Russia's Strategy for Social and Economic Development to Achieve Low Greenhouse Gas Emissions by 2050", proposing a goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 60% in 2050 compared to 2019 and 80% compared to 1990. This will generate huge market demand for chemical equipment such as absorption towers, chemical microreactors, membrane separation equipment, compression and liquefaction devices, and provide a golden opportunity for my country's high-quality chemical equipment companies to go overseas to Russia.
In order to strengthen technical exchanges and cooperation between China and Russia in the field of CCUS and jointly explore the construction of a green, low-carbon, circular development industrial system, the China-Russia CCUS Technology Application and Development Exchange Event, jointly sponsored by the Foreign Trade Center of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian Union of Chemists, the Organizing Committee of the China International Chemical Equipment Expo, and Guangzhou Zhenwei International Exhibition Co., Ltd., is scheduled to be held online on April 29. The event aims to introduce and share the CCUS demonstration zone projects and related technologies of Chinese companies throughout the entire process to Russian companies, and to assist Chinese and Russian companies in conducting in depth exchanges, finding directions for cooperation, and promoting pragmatic cooperation between the two sides in the field of CCUS.
